I have a raspberry pi 3B (with current raspberry desktop os) with multiple audio programs running. Butt streamer and Icecast are being used to stream from a virtual loopback card (pianobar is playing from my Pandora account to the virtual card so I can stream it locally). That works great. I also have squeezelite sending audio to the sound card output. It also works. However initially squeezelite starting on boot caused the appearance of the desktop to change so windows could not be resized. I have no idea why an audio conflict would affect the desktop appearance. Seems like a pretty weird bug. I solved the problem by starting squeezelite in a screen at boot with a "sleep 30". So while I've got everything working, I'm still curious as to the nature of the problem. Thanks for your input.
