Apologies if this problem is known and there is a fix. I searched and did not see a match.
I am running bookworm on an RPI 4 using X11 not wayland.
I have multiple RPI 4 in the house and I log in to them using RealVNC from Windows 11 desktop.
Monitor is 1920x1080.
I tried Raspberry PI Connect with wayland and it didn't work for me because I am also an emacs user.
Many of the emacs keyboard shortcuts were caught by chrome or firefox rather than passed through to linux.
I have only one issue. When a window is in the far right of the monitor and I click on one of its pulldown menus it opens in the wrong location. The menu seems to be positioned within 1024x768 from the upper left.
Of course, if I connect my monitor to the hdmi on the RPI 4 this problem does not happen.
After booting with the monitor connected to the RPI 4 I can switch back to VNC and I don't see the problem either.
