Okay, so i hadnt updated my system in like 6 months or more. Do to a failed update recently, i decided to start from scratch instead of just using a backup image.
Updated system, what could go wrong? Well something in the graphics compositor end evidently.
I have been using x11 instead of Wayland because emulationstation will not function in an OS using a Wayland environment. Unfortunately in X11 with this newest version of the OS, i get constant screen tearing in kodi when playing media.
Any ideas to fix screen tearing?
Another option i have is to write a bash script that opens a virtual environment and executes emulationstation. Going about it this way seems to work, even in a Wayland environment. But ima n00b and could use help with this.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
