General discussion • Wrong bootloader

Hello!

I’m facing a rather strange issue. I updated the bootloader to the latest version on an RPI 5, but then accidentally inserted the SD card into an RPI 4b. As you might guess, it updated the bootloader to the RPI 5 version, so now I have an RPI 5 bootloader on my RPI 4b!

I’ve tried various methods to restore the original RPI 4b bootloader, but the RPI 5 bootloader can’t be overwritten. I managed to create a custom RPI 4 bootloader with the latest version, but after rebooting, the RPI 4b won’t start. Reinstalling the RPI 5 bootloader works, and so does the OS, but I want to get the correct RPI 4 bootloader back. How can I fix this?”
