Off topic discussion • PDF reader with horizontal page scrolling

I'm looking for a PDF reader with a specific feature - to display at least two, and preferably three or more, complete pages side by side, and scroll one complete page left or right on a key press. [Example - technical manual; have a complete section on the screen at once, regardless of whether it starts on odd or even pages].

Many readers have a 'book' or '2-page' display mode; however PgUp/PgDn then moves 2 pages at a time rather than 1.

Has anyone come across a PDF reader with this feature? (I've found over 20 readers, some clearly useless for this purpose, and tried 10 or more of those without success). It certainly could be that I've missed a setup option somewhere, although there are usually limited choices.

The nearest I've found is qpdfview - it can display any number of pages across, and it looks as if changing just two lines of code would implement the scrolling as I want. However that uses QT - which means installing and getting to grips with QT.

(I want to run this on a Pi5 with Bookworm/Wayland; however would consider other hardware/OS if that was the only option.)
