Graphics, sound and multimedia • RPi 5 composite frames Not Properly Interlaced In Wayland

Hey,
I have an issue with using os's and software on raspberry os like kodi
Displaying the right framerate using composite!

This was mentioned and discussed a year ago here:
viewtopic.php?t=362182

But so far only x11 is @25i and this older kernel based lakka image:
https://lakka.tv/articles/2024/05/02/rpi-composite/
that had to use an old outdated rpi kernel just to get composite working on wayland correctly
On the rpi5.
(no idea why, or how but would thought it'll be helpful if a fix is possible for the pi5)

Its been a year now and would have hopefully thought the rpi devs would have pushed if not a fix...
But possibly a way to provide us more composite options similar to hdmi vga that could may have forced the rp1's
Composite from 720x576@50i to 720x576@50p if 720x576@25i was definitely not possible...
Well... Not possible?... But yeah totally possible on that modified lakka rpi5 image
That again, Somehow working perfectly using that old kernel that was made before the rpi5 and the composite kernel updates.
I have also tried to see if there was any way to get kodi running on that lakka but... Unfortunately its not possible at all.
I have tried.

Can somebody please see if its possible to find a way (similar to like someone did with that lakka fork)
To fix interlaced frames support with wayland so I can finally enjoy kodi on RPiOS and libreelec.

and please don't let this be yet another mention of this just to get ignored and unanswered.
I really have been waiting it out, holding up hope that this would fix itself by now.

Also worth mentioning that the analogue TV standards simply also do not work at all via wayland except for ntsc-m and pal-i
In case that helps a bit.

Hopefully you guys can sort out a kernel fix or something clever.

Even if it was possible that someone could provide me with a way (something like an appimage)
That can do an updated version of kodi in x11... That would honestly be a great alternative until
the rpi devs come up with a solution.

Even better if its a modified libreelec os similar to the lakka fork, but i highly doubt that anyone would do that tbh.

Please guys, can you fix this issue?

Cheers,
03stevensmi.
