Troubleshooting • RPi4B not detecting input from media device

Hello,

I'm working on creating LED controller for digital piano (something similar to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6COwmcIA3E).
I'm using RPi 4B, Korg G1 piano (with external power supply) and ws2812 LEDs (connected to RPi 5V pin).

I have problem with connecting piano via USB port. When I connect it directly to RPi and run lsusb it's not being listed as device, however if I connect it to display, which has USB connected to RPi, it is visible but I still cannot read any data. I tried different ports and mouse or keyboard is working correctly, only piano is not visible.
I'm using python mido library to read input and it's working out of the box on windows PC, it automatically detects device and listen to input.

Do I need to install any drivers? (I don't think so, as I'm connecting via USB) Or do I need to change configuration?
My guess is it's misconfiguration (On windows I see that class of device is media) but I don't have clue what might be wrong.

Thanks in advance!
