I have just tried the new Raspberry Pi Connect service. I am controlling a Pi 5 desktop using Google Chrome on Windows 11.
It all seems to work quite well, a bit of latency but nothing too serious.
I have a couple of questions about this.
Firstly, is this me interacting with the desktop as if i was using a monitor and keyboard?
Secondly, If I initiate a process in a terminal window on the pi disktop remotely via Raspberry Pi Connect will the process continue if the remote connection is disconnected. Does that mean I wouldn't need to run a process using 'screen' like I should (but usually forget to) when using SSH in case a process takes a lot longer than anticipated?
If I could see the desktop on a monitor connected to the pi would I see the actions I am performing on the raspberry pi connect dektop on the monitor, unlike using VNC where there are two distinct desktops?
Or is it the same as VNC and SSH?
