Experienced hacker here, giving an account of what happened.
I got my pi5 and a pimironi dual nvme switch. I assembled it and flashed an SD card with rpi 64 bit os. I think plugged this in headless (as I expected to be able to login later) and plugged it into the PD power delivery cable that I use to dock my steam deck. This is provided by a little ANKER dock.
It started booting ... but in the middle of booting, it shifted around and the nvme flex cable came loose. I figured it best to power off before fixing, so I removed power. Upon fixing and re-powering, no lights. I then unplugged the nvme board, tried again. No lights. I then opened up the PD brick that came with the pi and powered it that way. No lights.
I then flashed the boot maintenance image, again no lights. I then tried without an SD card ... at this point only the active cooler was plugged in. again no lights.
I then got out my HDMI thing and plugged that in with no sd card and powered. No lights.
Is it dead?
