Since my Pi400 keyboard was not usable anymore, I first used Raspberry keyboard as replacement.
I had Pi400 KVM setup running for more than 2 years, allowing to switch between Pi400 and laptop.
Later I replaced Pi400 with new Pi5, and used 22$ KVM switch to change between Pi5 and laptop.

Biggest advantage compared to Pi400 KVM setup is, that Pi5 can work with cameras (GS camera for 536fps videos on photo).
Until today I was not aware that Raspberry Pi keyboard and hub has a F12 key:
https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/ra ... d-and-hub/
That key is needed to boot the laptop from temporary boot device, after having pressed ENTER to avoid default booting.
Until today I pressed ENTER on Raspberry keyboard, then opened laptop display and pressed F12 on laptop keyboard.
That is not needed anymore, F12 key is below F2 key.
Pressing FN+F2 allows to select temporary boot device for laptop, nice.
